Image colouration

I've noticed that the first batch of data which came from 2012-2014 had very bright images. Then the next one which came from the millenium era had pretty normal colouration. Now we are analyzing predominately 2009-2011 data which has a magenta hue which sometimes makes it rather hard to spot kelp. What causes this colouration? Should I adjust the colour balance of my monitor for easier kelp spotting?
P.S. After this set of data, when the next set of data takes place in?

Yup - we're working on getting better contrast and coloration. It's an issue on our end, not yours. Hopefully should be fixed in a few days.

Great! We're implementing a new system where the science team does a cursory glance before images go live to make sure we catch this problem if it crops up again.

@jebyrnes, excellent! We should give Floating Forests another Daily Zooniverse plug sometime soon.
