40 years go I was scuba diving every chance that I got in Victoria and Tasmania, Australia and i saw miles of Giant Kelp from south-east Victoria to Eden in New South Wales . Often after a storm miles of Kelp washed up along the beach . Just an observation. Ian 😃

Excellent! We (and others) have seen some huge declines in giant kelp along the east coast of Tasmania in the past few decades. http://blog.floatingforests.org/2014/08/09/endangered-kelp-forests-in-tasmania/
