by Shiphrah
Looking at a GoogleEarth image of San Diego, I saw what looks very much like kelp at the mouth od the bay & also along the seaward side od Point Loma. Is this real?

Yes! The Google Earth images are not optimized for spotting kelp, but particularly large beds are still visible.

I actually see kelp better in Google Earth due to higher resolution. Dume kelp is even visible.
By the way, have Mexican kelp forests already been classified?

We have not classified Mexican images yet, but that is next on our list. We should be releasing images from Baja California very soon!

Thank you for reply.
Are there any kelp in Oregon area and if so, have these been classified now?
