    With regard to north west Tasmania , in winter the sea temperature on the coast of Flinders Island (and I am told by locals )down the east coast of Tassy , is warm from the current flowing from the north, off of Cape Howe . and having SCUBA dived in winter around Flinders Island . The water is a lot warmer than at Lakes Entrance on the south east coast of Victoria this is also from experience with SCUBA diving .
    SCUBA = self contained underwater breathing apparatus , For those not familiar with diving .
